A famous Chinese proverb says, “If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people”. Keeping focus on this the department of higher education felt the need to establish a college that would cater to both the B.Ed. students of dehgam district and nearby area. In June 2016, Loknad B.Ed. College, dehgam was established and local people and dedicated faculties the institution has gained recognition as an important centre of learning .This college proved blessing in disguise for girl students in particular because the hassles of daily commuting and an opportunity to study within reach area where parents enthusiastically send their wards to build their future.
Mr.Vivek Patel principal Loknad B.Ed. College, Ahmedabad acted as the in charge principal of this college and left no stone unearthed to set up this college.
To provide all the basic facilities with ultra modern building for the college the foundation stone of the new building was laid on 31st August 2018 in the presence of Hon.Minister of education and other officials.
The main focus of the college is to make discipline a core value, encourage students to develop a sense of responsibility through a well planned academic schedule. The college encourages Inter College, Intra College competitions and Sports activities. Being a college it is directly monitored by the Education Department and Gujarat University.
. Finishing schools have honed the skills of the students. Collegiate Women’s’ Development Cell and Anti- ragging cell have ensured safety on campus while at the same time addressing students’ grievances if any.
In order to give the students economic independence, the college has invited various companies and it gives me immense pride in informing you that girls from our very first batch of Arts graduates have secured their future through campus interviews.
Teamwork is the foundation for success in every institution. Together we are willing and ready to achieve the higher goal to give the college a unique identity with the support of all. we look forward to all well wishers to give valuable suggestions so that this college may become the finest places of learning in the region.
